Taiyou Con is glad to offer complimentary badges to qualifying media representatives who provide coverage of our event. These badges are offered on a case-by-case basis to individuals in media companies dealing with print, web, or audio/video publications. Individuals from school publications (such as school newspapers) are also encouraged to attend. You can apply for a press badge by clicking the Press Registration below. Once submitted, please wait a few weeks while we review your credentials and past work. We will notify you if you have been approved. Deadline for submission is 15 days before the first day of the convention. No exceptions will be made for submissions after the deadline or on site at the convention.

Rules and Procedures

Prior to the convention:

Three sample publications of recent articles on your website or social media covering the previous convention or the upcoming convention.

At the convention for badge pick-up:

Business card
Photo ID

During the convention:

Press badge doesn’t guarantee autographs, sketches or any preferential treatments. If reserved seating is available for press at certain events and only if there is available space.

Please be respectful and conduct yourself in a professional manner. Your press badge may be revoked if you violate the rules of the convention.

After the convention:

Please email links to Taiyou Con of your posts. As of 2022, the convention will be keep strictly following the guidelines of which media outlet to be approved and will be tracking all content for future decisions.
