Welcome! It will be a wonderful weekend of anime, cosplay and of course, food. Food trucks and pop ups are part of our Japanese festival at the convention center, and we look forward to having you with us this year.

Food trucks or food vendor may participate at Taiyou Con in the front courtyard of the Mesa Convention Center. You must submit a form and be approved before you are allowed to pay for your space at the convention.

Even though our convention is focused on Japanese culture, we still like to have a variety of food at our festival. Our convention will host over 3000 attendees throughout the three days, but we are only taking 5 to 6 food vendors for the weekend. Please make sure you have capacity to serve a high number of people and stay all three days if you decide to participate.

The cost of a food vendor space for all three days is $950 plus sales tax. By submitting an application, you agree to the terms and conditions below. Please read the terms and conditions before applying.

Friday 

Please arrive by 10:00am so you can set up and be ready by 11am on Friday. You can enter the convention center parking lot and then go through a gate that allows you to enter the convention center courtyard. 

If you have a canopy for your customers standing in line, that will be great. It will definitely increase your sales if people don’t have to stand in the rain (or sun). It’s probably a good idea just to bring one. You may leave anytime after 8pm.

Saturday

Please arrive by 10:00am so you can set up and be ready by 11am on Saturday. You can enter the convention center parking lot and then go through a gate that allows you to enter the convention center courtyard. You may leave anytime after 8pm.

Sunday

Please arrive by 10:00am so you can set up and be ready by 11am on Sunday. You can enter the convention center parking lot and then go through a gate that allows you to enter the convention center courtyard. You may leave anytime after 4pm.

As always, please have all your licenses to operate. We don’t want you getting shut down. 🙂

It is very important that that you follow the times because the schedule is very tight on Friday setup and Sunday breakdown. This is the schedule for EVERYONE involved in the festival area. in front of the convention center. Times may be updated without notice.
