Bag Check Policy
At the entrances to each building, there will be a bag check. Please check this page for any updated items that are not allowed indoors in addition to the items stated on the Weapons Policy page.
At the entrances to each building, there will be a bag check. Please check this page for any updates regarding prohibited items, in addition to the items listed on the Weapons Policy page.
The following items are prohibited, including but not limited to:
- Illegal substances
- Non-service animals or pets
- Spray paint
- Outside food & drinks (unless it’s from the Taiyou Con food vendors at the festival)
- Weapons, including but not limited to firearms, knives, and other sharp objects
- Fireworks or explosives
- Flammable materials
- Large bags, backpacks, or suitcases (bags larger than a standard backpack are subject to approval)
- Hoverboards, rollerblades, or skateboards (for safety reasons, these are not allowed inside event areas)
- Large poles or staffs (including cosplay props or other items that may obstruct walkways or pose a safety risk)
- Unapproved promotional materials (no distributing flyers or business cards without prior consent)
- Sound devices or megaphones (unless permitted for specific programming)
- Laser pointers (these can be disruptive to both staff and attendees)
- Aerosol cans or sprays (including deodorants, body sprays, or air fresheners)
- Unregistered drones or remote-controlled devices
- Balloons (unless pre-approved by the convention for special circumstances)
- Signs (including but not limited to any signs that could be used for personal messages, promotions, or political statements)
Please note that any prohibited items found during the bag check may result in removal from the premises or confiscation of the item(s).
