Running a three day anime convention takes a lot of dedication from many people. However, it is rewarding and opens a lot of opportunities for awesome experiences such as meeting people, meeting guests, attending events, being creative, participating with the community and much more!
Qualifications
We are looking for 5 major qualifications in our staff. Candidates must have a great work ethic, kindness toward others, ability to meet deadlines, excellent communication skills, and emotional intelligence.
Join as a volunteer
If you do not want to attend meetings, do not have the time commitment to plan a convention, or do not pass our staff interview process, please visit our volunteer page. Volunteers only have limited responsibilities and simple tasks at the convention in exchange for entry into the event.
Join as a staff member
Staff is required to attend monthly planning meetings (in person or virtually) in order to stay up to date on convention operations. Please be aware that all positions are non-paid, but as staff members, you will be issued a badge, allowed access to the staff lounge with snacks, refreshments, comped or discounted hotel rooms* (subject to availability), given Taiyou Con merchandise, invited staff party, etc. You are essentially bartering your effort for these items. In addition, we will act as a referral and write any letters of recommendations for your future jobs. Please fill out the form below to apply for a staff interview.
