1.  How do I pre-register for Taiyou Con?
Pre-registration closed on December 27, 2013. Badges are now only available at the convention.

2.  What methods of payment do you accept for pre-registration?
Online payment is processed through PayPal, which means you can use a credit or debit card without creating a PayPal account. With a PayPal account, funds can be drawn either from your PayPal balance or your bank account, whichever you select. 3.  What is the benefit to pre-registering?
You save money by pre-registering! Use that extra cash on your cosplay or buy something cool in the Dealer's Room!

You can still purchase a badge at the convention for $45.

No, single-day passes are only available for purchase at the convention.

6.  I have already pre-registered. What do I need to bring with me to pick up my badge?
You will need your photo ID and the PayPal receipt for the online sale. We will match the transaction number on your receipt to our records, so please don't lose it.

7.  What kind of ID should I bring to pick up my badge?

8.  My parent payed for my pre-registration online, so it's not my name on the receipt! Is that a problem?
No, as long as you have the receipt, you will be fine.

10. If I pre-register, will I receive my badge in the mail?
We do not mail badges. Your PayPal receipt will serve as confirmation of your purchase, and you will use to pick up your badge at the convention.

11. I pre-registered but I can no longer attend Taiyou Con. Can I have a refund?
We are sorry you cannot attend, but badges to Taiyou Con are non-refundable. We suggest selling or giving your badge to someone else interested in attending the convention.

12. Can I purchase a badge at the convention?
Yes. You may purchase a badge at the convention for $45. We will also have single-day passes available if you cannot attend the full three days.

13. What methods of payment do you accept for at-con registration?
We accept credit/debit cards and cash. Photo ID will be required for credit/debit card transactions.

14. I can only attend one of the days of the convention. Do I need to buy the $35 badge?
No. We will be offering single-day passes at the convention. Single-day badges on Friday and Saturday are $25 each, and Sunday single-day passes are $20.

15. I am selling my badge to a friend. What do I need to do to ensure they can pick up their badge?

-  Your name and address
-  The name, address, and email address of the new owner
Your badge transfer is not complete until you and the new owner receive a confirmation email from This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . The new badge owner will need to bring this confirmation email with them to Registration to pick up their badge.

16. I rented a hotel room. Do I still need to purchase a badge?
Yes. While we greatly appreciate your support of the convention by staying at the Hilton, you still need to purchase a badge to attend events at the convention.

17. What happens if I lose my badge at the convention?
If your badge is lost, check with the Information Desk to see if someone turned it in. If your badge was not turned in, you may purchase a replacement badge for a small fee at Registration.

Registration will be open during the following times:
Friday, January 3: 10:30 am - 8:00 pm
Saturday, January 4: 9:30 am - 8:00 pm
Sunday, January 5: 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

No, there are no discounts for group registrations.

20. I have a child I would like to bring to the convention. How much are badges for children?
Children 10 and under are free with the purchase of either a full-event or single-day badge. Multiple children will be admitted with the purchase of a single badge.

21. Can I pick up a badge for a friend?
You may only pick up the number of badges for which you pre-registered. You may not pick up a pre-registered badge for another attendee--they must be present to pick it up.

22. I lost my pre-registration confirmation! What should I do?

We will be able to look up the information and send you a copy of your receipt to bring to Registration when you pick up your badge.
